RuleDesk – checkout rules for Shopify

RuleDesk is a Shopify app that keeps all your checkout logic in one place: which payment methods and delivery options each buyer sees, which carts cannot check out, which discounts apply, which items form a bundle and which notices appear in checkout. Every change can be previewed on a test cart, approved by a second staff member, scheduled and rolled back.

What you get
Rules for every part of checkout
- Payment: hide, rename or reorder payment methods, or hide only the express checkout buttons.
- Delivery: hide, rename or reorder delivery options, by name or by method (shipping, local pickup, pickup point, local delivery).
- Validation: stop checkout with your message, shown next to the address, the postal code or the order summary. Typical uses: no PO boxes for oversize items, a minimum order, packs of 6, a limit per product, products that cannot ship to a state.
- Discounts: tiered discounts by amount or quantity, buy X get Y, discounts for customer tags or B2B buyers and shipping discounts, in one automatic discount with your stacking choice.
- Bundles: merge items into one bundle line or expand a kit into its parts.
- Checkout blocks: a banner, a required consent checkbox or a field saved on the order, shown by the same conditions. Blocks on the information, shipping and payment steps need Shopify Plus.
Conditions without code
Combine conditions with all or any, in nested groups: cart subtotal, quantity and weight; products by product, tag or collection; customer tags, sign-in, previous orders and B2B company; shipping country, state, postal code prefixes and ranges and PO box addresses; the buyer’s country, market and checkout language; the chosen delivery method and cart attributes. Thresholds are in your store currency and converted for buyers paying in another one. Texts the buyer reads are entered per published language.
Safe changes
- Rules are a draft until you publish. Preview runs the draft on a test cart with the same engine your checkout uses.
- Optional approval: a publish waits until another staff member approves it.
- Every publish is a version. Roll back to any earlier version in one click.
- Start and end dates in your store’s time zone; the app publishes at the right minute.
- An audit log records who changed what.
Several stores (Plus Multi-store)
Link up to 10 stores into an organization with an invite code. Shared rules are published to every store; a store can turn a shared rule off or use its own threshold.
Templates
More than 20 templates for common checkout logic, for example no cash on delivery for large or first orders, B2B buyers pay on terms only, oversize items ship by ground, no PO boxes for oversize items, spend more save more, free shipping for VIP customers and a terms of sale checkbox.
Plans and prices
All prices are in US dollars. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial and are billed monthly through Shopify. Every plan includes a quota; use above it is added to your Shopify bill at the price below, up to a monthly usage limit you set in the app.

When a plan no longer covers your rules after a downgrade, everything keeps running for 7 days and the app shows which rules will be turned off and when. Turn rules off yourself to choose which stay, or upgrade.

- Shopify Plus for checkout blocks on the information, shipping and payment steps.
- The app is in English. Messages and names the buyer sees are in the languages you enter.
