Best Shopify Theme for Beauty Products: Free and Paid (2026)

Updated , first published · 6 min read

The best Shopify theme for beauty products is one whose product page already has what a cosmetics shopper looks for: shade swatches, an ingredients section, a usage tab, room for video and a before/after slider. In the Shopify Theme Store’s Beauty industry filter, established paid themes such as Be Yours ($350), Eurus ($350) and Vantage ($150) list all five. Shopify’s free themes tagged for beauty (Sense, Refresh and Pitch) list swatches, video and an ingredients block, which is enough for a small skincare or makeup range.

Prices, ratings and features below were read on each theme’s page in the Shopify Theme Store on October 23, 2026. A rating is the share of positive reviews the Theme Store shows for the theme across all its presets.

Beauty themes compared

The Beauty filter listed 141 themes that day. We picked five paid themes with a long review history at different prices, and the three free Shopify themes that appear in the Beauty filter. The feature notes show only what each theme page lists.

Theme (developer) Price Rating Presets Listed product-page features
Vantage (We are Underground) $150 93% of 230 reviews Vantage, Monza, Portofino, Roma Swatches, tabs, video, quick buy, before/after slider, ingredients
Be Yours (RoarTheme) $350 98% of 695 Be Yours, Sheen, Peace, Harmony Swatches, tabs, video, quick buy, before/after slider, ingredients
Eurus (BSS Commerce) $350 99% of 607 Eurus, Arise, Placid, Mystique, Whiff Swatches, tabs, video, quick buy, before/after slider, ingredients
Prestige (Maestrooo) $400 91% of 873 Prestige, Couture, Vogue, Strass, Signature Swatches, tabs, video, quick buy, before/after slider, ingredients
Blockshop (Troop Themes) $420 96% of 421 Blockshop, Radiance, Stone, Valla Swatches, tabs, video, quick buy, before/after slider, ingredients
Sense (Shopify) Free 36% of 74 Not named Swatches, video, quick buy, ingredients
Refresh (Shopify) Free 38% of 60 Not named Swatches, video, quick buy, ingredients
Pitch (Shopify) Free 33% of 33 Not named Swatches, video, quick buy, ingredients

Paid themes are a one-time purchase. Shopify builds the free themes and helps with customizing them; for a paid theme, support and updates come from its developer (Shopify Help Center).

Since all five paid themes list the same product-page blocks, the choice between them comes down to price, the look of the presets with your own photos, and the developer’s reviews:

  • Vantage is the cheapest established option here, at $150 with 230 reviews.
  • Be Yours and Eurus cost the same and have the highest ratings in the table, each from more than 600 reviews.
  • Prestige has the most reviews and the lowest rating of the paid five. Its page describes it as “designed for premium, high-end brand appeal”, and its Vogue preset is the one shown in the Beauty filter.
  • Blockshop is the most expensive of the five, with four presets.

The first page of the Beauty filter ranged from $100 to $500, and all 24 themes on it were paid.

What the product page needs for each kind of beauty store

A beauty theme is mostly a product page. Home page sections can be rebuilt in any theme, while missing product-page blocks mean an app or custom code.

Makeup and color cosmetics. Shoppers choose a shade, so color swatches matter most, followed by product video and quick buy for repeat purchases of the same lipstick or foundation. Every theme in the table lists swatches. The theme only displays them; the shades come from your product variants and their option values.

Skincare. The questions are about what is in the jar and how to use it, so look for an ingredients block and product tabs (“Ingredients”, “How to use”, “Shipping”). A before/after image slider helps for products with visible results, if you have honest photos you are allowed to publish. The five paid themes list all three; the free ones list the ingredients block only.

Haircare, fragrance and bath products. These sell on mood and sizes more than on shades. Media and a size selector carry the page, so any theme in the table works, and the choice comes down to the presets.

If you sell routines or sets, check how the theme displays bundles before you buy. Bundles themselves come from an app such as Shopify Bundles, not from the theme.

Should you start with a free theme

Sense, Refresh and Pitch appear in the Beauty filter and list color swatches, product videos, quick buy and an ingredients block, which covers shade choice, ingredients and video for a small range. They do not list product tabs or a before/after slider, so ingredients, usage and shipping notes sit one under another on the product page. The Help Center adds that no theme is restricted to an industry, so a free theme with another tag works too.

Two facts to weigh before you settle on a free theme:

  1. Their Theme Store ratings are low: 36% positive for Sense (74 reviews), 38% for Refresh (60) and 33% for Pitch (33). Read the negative reviews before you commit.
  2. For a paid theme, support and updates come from its developer, and the purchase is a final sale: the Help Center says theme developers cannot give refunds.

Start free if you are testing a product range. Move to a paid theme when you need the tabs or the slider that the free ones lack.

How to choose in four steps

  1. Filter the Theme Store. Open All themes > Industry > Beauty, then search for a feature you need, such as “Video” or “Product filtering”. The Help Center lists more search terms, from “FAQ page” to “Quick buy”.
  2. Read the feature list on the theme page. A demo store shows a designer’s photos; the features list tells you which blocks you get.
  3. Preview with your products. Every paid theme has a Try theme button. The theme lands in your theme library with a Theme trial label, and you buy it only when you want to publish it. Look at your real products on the product page, on a phone. During the trial you cannot edit the theme’s code.
  4. Read the newest reviews. Sort reviews by date and look for comments about support and updates, since you depend on the developer for both.

The theme shows your photos; our product photography guide covers backgrounds, sizes and shot lists, and our Shopify branding guide covers logos and colors. More marketing guides are in the marketing and SEO hub.
